Victorian Emerald & Diamond Chequerboard Ring half hoop It dates from the 1870sDATE: Victorian, c. 1880 A fine Victorian chequerboard ring set with two rows of alternating emeralds and old cut diamonds. Somewhat unusual to see this combination of stones, they're more often found with sapphires or rubies, but the emeralds work really well. It's modelled in 18 karat gold, and dates from circa 1880.
