Large Antique French 17th Century Carved Walnut Saint Peter Santos Figure Statue Recently Added Acquired directly from the artistA fine & large antique 17th Century French carved walnut statue of Saint Peter, circa 1680. The statue is finely carved from walnut and depicts Saint Peter holding a bible in his hand, the statue is carved wearing monastic robes and a cloak. The beatific features of the statue are finely executed with St. Peter depicted with a beard and short carved hair, the statue has a warm mellow dark honey colored patina, the statue is around 350 years old and in
