The original artwork in this print was created by Myles Birket Foster (1825 1899). Foster was an English watercolor artist and illustrator. He was born in North Shields, England, to a Quaker family. Foster was apprenticed to a wood engraver named Ebenezer Landells in London and worked as an illustrator for books and periodicals. He is also known for his landscapes which he painted
