Liriope gigantea Lynn Lowrey 8a somewhat resembling Hosta plantagineaWe first met Liriope gigantea 'Lynn Lowrey' in the Alabama garden of nurseryman Bobby Green, where we were first introduced to the concept of liriope as a foundation shrub. We were astonished to see 3. 5' tall evergreen clumps (no spreading) that just seemed impossible. This unique Liriope gigantea seedling came from the late Texas plantsman Lynn Lowrey and was named for him after his death by Bobby Green. The already giant clumps are topped with a
