This rail came from a palatial Arts & Crafts mansion in London that was built in 1895

Above the handpainted panels the cobalt blue ground is decorated with a frieze of gilded oval rosettes

Since the late 1970's he has created complex expressionistic paintings

the bottle is very well enameled with each side depicting a bird resting on a flowering branch on a light blue ground

the jar having twin blue concentric rings to the base

The vinaigrette is finely engine turned to the hinged top and the undersaide, the lid is monogramed engraved with "J. A. to E. C." The outline of the vinaigrette is shaped and engraved, the gilt interior having a hinged engraved & pierced cover. The case is hallmarked both on the inside of the lid and the base, with the anchor mark for Birmingham and the date letter
