Victorian 18k Gold Rosary Ring regency period The centre band is convexDATE: Victorian, c. 1870 A cool antique Rosary ring dating from the latter half of the 19th Century, circa 1880. It features a cross, along with ten studs representing the one decade of a rosary and likely belonged to a priest or a nun. As with rosary beads, the studs will have been used as a physical method of keeping count of the number of Hail Marys said as the mysteries are contemplated, with the cross denoting the start end of the repetition.
